Students used a variety of surface textures and patterns from the natural world as inspiration for these multi-layered prints. Emphasis was placed on experimentation with found materials and tools as well as layering patterns and shapes and creative risk taking.
Students experimented with a range of drawing techniques including line drawing, blind contour drawing and continuous line drawing to improve their observation skills and hand-eye co-ordination. These drawing formed the basis of the composition for a series of layered prints.
