To support the transition from Junior to Senior School I ran a series of art workshops, art department and senior school art exhibition tours for students aged 7 to 11 from local elementary schools over a period of 3 years.
The elementary school students who took part in the outreach workshops gained a taste of life in senior school, met with Senior School students and experienced making art related to their current project themes using new materials and techniques.

Fossil art workshop
Students experimented with 3D fossil modelling techniques inspired by the sculptures of artist Peter Randall Paige.

Students experimented with chalk pastel blending techniques and dip pen and ink drawing to re-create imagery of insects trapped in amber.

The sculptures were fired in the kiln and given to students as a reminder of their experience in the Senior School art department.
