Visiting alumni talk
A Level Fine Art students were given the opportunity to attend a talk and portfolio presentation from a former A* A Level Fine Art student who was completing a BA (Hons) in make-up for media and performance at Arts University Bournemouth.
Students learnt the process of preparing an art portfolio for degree interviews as well as gaining an understanding of the development which takes place over the course of a creative arts degree. Students gained valuable first hand insights into a career in the creative arts.

Wimbledon College of Arts, University of the Arts - visiting lecturer
Students studying GCSE Art and Design and A Level Fine Art had the opportunity to attend a talk and presentation by the BA Fine Art Painting course leader at Wimbledon College of Arts (formerly Wimbledon School of Art).
The talk provided useful information for those students thinking of undertaking an Art Foundation course or a degree in the creative arts. Students were able to ask questions about the course, the entry requirements and portfolio preparation in addition to learning about a range of careers in the creative arts industry.

Artist studio visit
GCSE and A Level art students (aged 15 to 18 years) had the unique opportunity to visit the London studio of the Turner Prize nominee, Cathy de Monchaux. Students were given a personal tour of the studio by the artist and gained valuable insights into an artist's daily working practises, ideas and techniques.
The visit was a valuable experience which benefitted student's own artistic working practices through increased understanding of idea development and exploration and learning through experimentation.

Options booklet
To support students in deciding their High School option choices for further study in art I collaborated with staff members to create an informative guide. The guide provided students and parents with relevant information about courses, career paths and transferable skills related to further study of art.
