In this unit students worked on developing and refining their observational drawing skills and practising their use of the formal elements of art. Celebrating the diversity and beauty of the natural world was a focus of this unit. The whimsical and delicate illustrations of the artist Kelsey Oseid provided inspiration for the student's work.
Students were encouraged to closely observe models of animals and find ways to record the intricate details and textures by controlling and manipulating pencil, pen and fine tipped brushes.
