In this project students experimented with ceramic joining techniques, positive and negative space and embossing techniques to create ceramic masks. Students were inspired by reflections of their positive and negative personal character traits and explorations of the masks of other cultures. Students explored the work of contemporary female artists Brianna McCarthy and Damselfrau as inspiration for their work.
