In this unit of work students were given the challenge of researching, designing and creating a functional or decorative ceramic artifact inspired by the aquatic animal theme. The playful work of the artist Nosey Mungo provided inspiration for this project.  Students learning basic pinch-pot construction techniques and experimented with glazing techniques and effects before applying these approaches to create a final ceramic artifact.
